Borderlands 4’s open world is filled with a massive list of 98 side quests that players can complete to earn Cash, XP and Eridium rewards, along with other more lucrative ones, like Vault Hunter skins and such.
While most of the side quests appear on the in-game map, six hidden side quests don’t.
Moreover, since you need these quests to unlock the Grassroots Campaigner trophy, knowing how to trigger them and where to find them is a must.
In the wake of that, I prepared this guide covering all hidden quest locations in Borderlands 4 and how you can trigger them.
All hidden side quests in Borderlands 4
These are the six hidden side missions in Borderlands 4:
- Breeding Daisies
- Whack-A-Thresher
- Forgive Me
- The Neverending Quarry
- A Quarry of Epic Proportions
- The Final Quarrel
Breeding Daisies
The Breeding Daisies side mission is located in The Howl sub-region of the Fadefields region. At the above marked location.
Note: The quest marker doesn’t appear there until you head there and clear out Threshers surrounding an NPC named Mort.
The nearest teleport waypoint is The Kit Hole Order Silo.
Teleport there, and once you spawn, make your way towards the quest.
Once you arrive there, clear out the threshers. After that, talk to Mort.
Accept the quest.
Whack-A-Thresher
Whack-A-Thresher is a continuation of the Breeding Daisies quest and takes place in the same; The Howl sub-region.
The quest doesn’t appear on the map unless you head there and go near Mort. So head there.
You will find Mort outside the big house near the river. Once you see him, the quest marker will appear on top of his head.
Moreover, now, the quest will also become visible on the in-game map.
Talk to him and accept the quest.
Forgive Me
Forgive Me is a hidden side quest and an easter egg to the game’s Narrative Director’s comment on the Souls games he made back in 2022.
You can trigger it by picking up a quest item found at the above marked location.
Note
The item drops only when you have finished the main story!
The nearest Fast Travel point is The Reliquary Order Silo. Teleport there and make your way to the marked location.
Once you arrive there, you will find a cave near the waterfall with a giant fossil at the entrance.
Head inside and defeat the Psycho enemy that spawns there.
Doing so will drop the Desecrated Bolt quest item. Pick it up to trigger the Forgive Me side quest.

Horatio’s questline – The Neverending Quarry, A Quarry of Epic Proportions and The Final Quarrel
Neverending Quarry
The first quest is called The Neverending Quarry, and you can trigger it by interacting with a Red Weapon Chest found at the above marked location in the Terminus District.
It is near the Ironwall Resolve Order Bunker, in the Praetor’s Lecture area.
Head there, and you will find a Red Chest in the middle of the area where the arrow is pointing.
Interact with it to start The Neverending Quarry quest.
A Quarry of Epic Proportions
The next quest in Horatio’s questline is A Quarry of Epic Proportions, which you can trigger by interacting with a fake Vending Machine found at the above marked location.
To get there, teleport to the Frantic Scrawl teleport waypoint.
After you spawn, head straight and take the stairs on the left side.
Once again, head straight and take the path on the left side as marked in the above screenshot.
Follow the path, and at the end of it, you will spot the fake Vending Machine.
Interact with it.
After Horatio is done speaking, the quest A Quarry of Epic Proportion will become active.
The Final Quarrel
The final quest in Horatio’s questline is The Final Quarrel, which you can trigger by interacting with a weirdly placed garbage container at the above marked location.
Teleport to the nearby Safe House. Once you spawn in The Food Court area, take the stairs on the right side, then a left and then the path on the right side.
Sounds confusing? Just follow the path I have marked in the above screenshot.
At the end of the room, you will find the Garbage Container.
Interact with it to trigger The Final Quarrel side mission.
