The Shattered Veil map’s main quest easter egg is full of multiple steps that players must complete to progress.
Moreover, the main ritual steps are hidden behind a series of puzzles, like the Sconce puzzle in the Grand Foyer area, that are daunting to complete.
Especially for players who haven’t spent much time on the map.
So, if you are also scratching your head on how to solve the Sconce puzzle or want to learn where to find the Sconce, keep reading my guide.
Where to find the Lamp/Sconce in the Shattered Veil map
In the Black Ops 6 Zombies Scattered Veil map, you can find the Sconce in the Banquet Hall room of the Colton Halls mansion.
I have marked its exact location in the above screenshot.
It is the same room where you find the elevator that leads to the Mainframe Chamber area and the Shattered Veil Pack-A-Punch machine.
Make your way to the above location and look for the desk on the right side.
Go closer and press the interact button, and you will be able to collect the Sconce, aka the Lamp.
I have tested it out in a ton of matches, and the spawn is permanent, unlike the Blue Spore Plants, the White Boxes, or the Bell.
Once you collect the Sconce, it will be available in the Key Items area.
How to solve the Lamp puzzle in the Shattered Veil map
The Sconce/Lamp puzzle is located in the Grand Foyer area at the above marked location.
Most of you might already know about it.
The puzzle is on the wall left of the giant Z-Rex Fossil.
As you can see in the above screenshot, there is an empty spot for a Lamp on the right side.
Go near the wall and interact with the spot to place the obtained Sconce.
After that, interact with the Lamp on the Left side.
It will light up in a sequence.
Note it down!
Now, activate the Lamp(s) in the same sequence to solve the puzzle.
Folks refer to this as the Simon Says puzzle.
Before this, I didn’t know what the Simon Says puzzle game was, as my childhood was me either spending time playing as many games I can or with my friends, playing Cricket, Basketball, or such sports.
Now, back to the topic:
Here’s an example of how to solve the puzzle.
Let’s say you interact with the left lamp, and it glows two times, and then the right lamp glows once.
Now, once the sequence ends, interact with the left lamp twice and one time with the lamp on the right side in the same order to solve the puzzle.
Successfully solving the puzzle will open the path to the Distilerry where you will find one of the Liminal Puzzle paintings required for completing the Shattered Veil main quest.
