In Chapter 3 of the New Light Challenges found in the Special Offers area of the Events menu, there is a challenge where players are tasked to pet cats in Haven at least once.
While the challenge sounds easy, for some, it is not, as they fail to find the cat.
And while there are a few guides that will share with you the cat location, they won’t tell you that it changes.
Moreover, since you must complete the challenge to progress further, it is somewhat necessary and can’t be skipped.
Seeing that, I prepared this guide sharing every cat spawn location I could find in Haven in Destiny Rising.
Destiny Rising New Light Challenges – Pet cats in Haven once
You can find the “Casual: Pet cats in Haven once” in the third chapter of the New Light Challenges, as I mentioned earlier.
Completing it will reward you with Valiant Ground and Glimmer.
Where to find cats in Haven in Destiny Rising
Here are all the different cat spawn locations in Haven:
Note
The cat will spawn at one of the designated spawns. If not there, explore the Haven area while paying attention to the “meow” sound. Whenever you are near the cat, it meows.
Cat spawn 1 location
The first cat spawn is in the Bazaar district, right near the teleportation.
Near the flowers, you will find the cat. Go near and interact.
Now select the ‘Pet’ button to complete the challenge.

Haven cat spawn 2 location
The second cat spawn location is near the Bonfire at the above marked location.
Head there and you will find the cat near the stairs.
Haven cat spawn 2 location
The third cat spawn is near the statue location below the Archives area.
Head to the above marked location.
Look near the foot of the statue, and you will find the cat, assuming it spawned there.
