If you have just defeated an enemy in Hell Is Us and got a pop-up saying “A Timeloop Guardian was killed,” but don’t know what it actually means or does, I’m here to explain.
Timeloop Guardians are special Lymbic entities that you will find in every region of Hadea as you explore them in Hell Is Us.
While they look similar to the regular enemies that you find in the game, they are special as they are tied to the Timeloops found in each region.
And that is why I am here to talk about it, as we have several trophies in Hell Is Us associated with Timeloops.
What does a Timeloop Guardian was killed mean in Hell Is Us?
In Hell Is Us, each region has a Timeloop that you must close to get rid of most enemies in the area and earn unique rewards for it.
However, to enter a Timeloop, you must defeat every Timeloop Guardian in the area.
For example, the Acasa Marshes region Timeloop requires you to defeat three Timeloop Guardians.
So, whenever you see the message, “A Timeloop Guardian was killed,” it means you defeated one of the many Timeloop Guardians in the region required for closing the respective region’s Timeloop.
So, how to find these Timeloop Guardians?
You must progress through the game until you meet Gildas inside the Watcher’s Nest in the Vyssa Hills, the third region.
He will give you a device called Guardian Detector that you can equip in the quick items menu and use to find the Timeloop Guardians.
