For players who don’t know, the Hunter Stagbow is one of the rare longbows in the game.
It is a Power Level 4 longbow that comes with a special effect that reduces the draw time for ranged attacks.
Moreover, it also comes with the highest Arrow Damage multiplier, which means, it can deal big damage compared to other bows.
And, just like any other longbow, it also gives you access to the Kick ability, allowing you kick enemies while wielding the Hunter Stagbow by pressing the LMB.
So if you are interested in the bow, keep reading, as in this guide, I have explained eveything you need to know about crafting the Hunter Stagbow in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
How to unlock the Hunter Stagbow crafting recipe in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You can unlock the Hunter Stagbow crafting recipe by learning the Vestige: A String Of Sinew.
You can get Vestige: A String Of Sinew by taking out the Garou Hunters mobs found in the Fractured Plains, Stormtouched Highlands and Bloodblight Swamp.
While some players have mentioned that you can get them from any Garou troops that are at least Power Level 3 or 4, in my case, it was different.
I farmed a ton of Garou troops in the Fractured Plains region and a few in the Stormtouched Highlands, got a few Vestiges but not the Vestige: A String Of Sinew.
But, when I started to farm the Garou Hunter found in the Bloodblight Swamp, I got it in first try.
So, I recommend farming the Garou Hunter troops found at the above marked location within the Bloodblight Swamp to get the Vestige: A String Of Sinew drop.
Once you have it, open your inventory and learn it to unlock the crafting recipe for the Hunter Stagbow.
How to craft the Hunter Stagbow in RuneScape Dragonwilds
To craft the Hunter Stagbow in the game, you need the following materials:
- Antlers x18
- Ram Horns x6
- Swamp Threads x4
- Jade x6
- Vault Shards x4
You can get Antlers as a drop from Stags. Ram Horns are a drop from Ram found in the Stormtouched Highlands.
Jade is an RNG drop from the Silver Ore Node found around the Bloodblight Swamp.
Vault Shards are a drop from the Vault Gaurdians found inside the Vaults. You can also find some from chests within the Vaults.
The item that most players might find hard to obtain is the Swamp Thread.
Well! You can get it from the Spinning Wheel by putting in Swamp Weed.
You can find Swamp Weed growing around the poisonous water bodies within the Bloodblight Swamp region.
Once you have all the materials, head to the Smithing Anvil and select and craft the Hunter Stagbow.
Why I think Hunter Stagbow is the best longbow in RuneScape Dragonwilds?
There are three things why I think the Hunter Stagbow is the best longbow in the entire game. These are:
- It is a Power Level 4 longbow.
- It has the highest damage multiplier among all bow.
- It comes with special effect that reduces the draw time, which is one of the biggest cons of longbows.
As you can see in the above screenshot, with the Ranger Armor set, you can inflict a massive 257 DMG with a single shot by aiming at the weakspot.
I have tested around five to six bows and the Hunter Stagbow has the highest damage.
