Powder of the Forgotten is one of the six key items that you need for making the Serum required to progress the Ashes of the Damned main quest easter egg.
Among the six items, similar to the Mysterious Limb, and one other, for which you need the Abomination Carcass upgrade for Tessie, obtaining Powder of the Forgotten is difficult.
It involves a lot more steps compared to the other items like the Widow’s Lantern, Human Bones, the Jar of Spores and the Ravager’s Eye.
Moreover, just like steps like spawning Uber Klaus, freeing Klaus, finding and charging Aether Barrel, solving the cube symbol puzzle and so on, there are no hints or clear instructions on how to get the Powder of the Forgotten.

Black Ops 7 Zombies Ashwood Mirror location
In the Ashes of the Damned map, you can find the cursed mirror from which you can obtain the Powder of the Forgotten key item at the above location in Ashwood.
Make your way to Ashwood.
Activate the Power Pump and power up the area.
Make your way to the Ashwood Sheriff’s Office. Look opposite to it, the building you see is the one where you will find the cursed mirror.
If you go close to the mirror, it will inflict damage.
How to destroy the mirror in Ashwood to get Powder of the Forgotten in the Ashes of the Damned map in Black Ops 7 Zombies
To destroy the mirror and obtain Powder of the Forgotten from it, you need two things:
- Wisp Tea Power Up
- The Necrofuild Gauntlet

While you are at it, head to Zarya Cosmodrome.
Make your way to the above marked location and get the Wisp Tea power up.
Assuming you have both the items, return to Ashwood and defeat a few enemies to spawn the Wisp. The blue orb.
Take the blue orb to the mirror.
The mirror will clear up, and you will see an artifact inside.
Now, switch to the Necrofluid Gauntlet and shoot the mirror with a regular LMB attack.
Doing so will destroy the mirror and drop the Powder of the Forgotten.
