If you have been facing no audio issues while playing Fragpunk, there’s a very easy fix for that, which I have covered in this guide.

The 5v5 hero shooter from developers Bad Guitar Studio, Fragpunk, is a live service game that has its fair share of issues.

While many of the launch issues have already been addressed by the devs in their official blog post, some still need an official fix.

Among that, we have the no audio issue where there is no game audio while playing Fragpunk.

Moreover, for some players, when they minimize the game, the audio works.

But when they open the game window, there’s no sound.

Weird right?

Thankfully, there are workarounds and fixes that you can use to fix the no audio issue while playing Fragpunk.

Methods for fixing no audio issue in Fragpunk

There are a few different workarounds that you can try out to fix the no audio issue in Fragpunk.

These are:

  • Running the game as an administrator
  • Disabling Exclusive Mode in Sound Settings

Below, I have explained each of the fixes in detail.

Running Fragpunk as an administrator

When you click on the Fragpunk’s launch icon on desktop, you won’t find any option to run the game as an administrator.

So, first of all, head to Steam and make your way to the ‘Library’ tab.

There, right-click on Fragpunk and navigate to the ‘Browse local files’ option via Manage.

Once you are in the game files, right-click on the Fragpunk icon.

Select ‘Run as administrator.’

If you are on Windows 11, you must first click on ‘Show more options’ after performing a right-click on the Fragpunk icon.

For Epic Game users, just head to the game’s install location and follow the same steps.

Disabling Exclusion Mode

Disabling the Exclusion Mode for your audio device is the fix that has worked for many players.

To do that, first, right-click on the ‘Volume’ icon at the bottom right side of the taskbar.

Now, select the ‘Sound Settings’ from the opened menu.

Navigate to the ‘Advanced’ section.

After that, click on the ‘More sound settings’ option.

Now, perform a right-click on your audio device and select the ‘Properties’ option.

Navigate to the ‘Advanced’ tab and uncheck the Exclusion Mode option.

Verifying game files

Sometimes, the audio issue and the crashes you encounter while playing Fragpunk is caused by broken game files.

That is why you must verify the game files.

To do that, head to Steam > Library.

Right click on Fragpunk and select ‘Properties’ option.

Navigate to the ‘Installed Files’ tab and click on the ‘Verify integrity of game files’ button.

Let the process complete.

If there are any broken files, re-download.

Reverting audio settings to default

There are cases when players mess around the audio settings, causing no audio issue while playing Fragpunk.

Some players even lower the Master, Music, and such other Volume settings and later forget the made changes.

So you can try reverting the settings to default.

To do that, open Fragpunk and click on the cog-icon found on the bottom right side of the lobby menu.

Navigate to the ‘Audio’ tab and press the ‘D’ key to reset.
