The second installment in the PoE franchise, Path of Exile 2, features a brand-new story set in the fictional world of Wraeclast.

Path of Exile 2’s story takes place 20 years after the events of the first game, where you defeat Kitava at the end.

It features a brand new campaign with over 100 bosses, most of which are optional and will help you level your character, farming equipment, and such things.

And while the end-game is something that most ARPG fans look forward to, almost everyone wants to know how long the Path of Exile 2 campaign is.

Along with questions like how many Acts are in the game and the list of main and side quests.

It helps you clear the main story and some side quests along the way so you can enjoy the end game quickly.

How many Acts are there in Path of Exile 2?

There are six Acts in Path of Exile 2, three of which will be available in early access, and the remaining will be released with the game’s full release.

Path of Exile 2 Acts and main missions list

Here is the complete list of Acts and main missions available in Path of Exile 2:

Act 1: The dark forests, bogs, and crypts of Ezomyr.
- Mission 1: Treacherous Ground
  - Find the entrance to the Mud Burrow.
  - Slay the Devourer in its lair.
  - Kill the Devourer.
  - Talk to Renly for your reward.
- Mission 2: The Tree of Souls
  - Travel through Clearfell to the Old Forest.
    - Search the Old Forest for the Tree of Souls.
    - Search the Red Vale for useful Salvage.
    - Collect the Runes of Power.
    - Travel to the Red Vale.
    - Bring the Runes to Renly for forging.
  - Find the Tree of Souls.
  - Stab the Rune Spikes into the Tree of Souls.
  - Talk to the Hooded Entity you released from the Tree of Souls.
- Mission 3: The Iron Count
  - Enter the Grim Tangle under the Tree of Souls in the Old Forest.
  - Search for the Manor beyond the Grim Tangle.
  - Infiltrate the Manor beyond the Village.
    - Search the Manor for the Iron Count.
  - Find the Iron Count.
  - Slay the Iron Count.
  - Speak to the Hooded One.
- Mission 4: Earning Passage
  - Speak to someone in charge at the Caravan.
  - Find the Hyenic Raiders and destroy them.
  - Defeat Rathbreaker.
  - Speak to Zarka.
  - Board the caravan to meet the Maraketh akhara that you rescued.
- Mission 5: The Trail of Corruption
  - Talk to Sekhema of the Ardura.
  - Travel with the Ardura Caravan to areas of the reported Corruption.
  - Talk to Asala about the closed Gates.
  - Travel to the Quarry.
  - Explore the Quarry.
  - Investigate the Foundry.

Act 2: The deserts of the Plains of Vastiri, traveling via Maraketh caravan.
Act 3: Ruins of the Vaal civilization near the flooded city of Utzaal, overgrown by tropical jungle.
Act 4: The port city of Kingsmarch located on the coast of Forsaken Phrecia, and the surrounding Karui Archipelago

How long does it take to beat Path of Exile 2 main campaign?

According to the game director, Jonathan Rogers, in the early access, clearing three Acts in the Path of Exile 2 main campaign will take new players around 25 hours.

Based on the above estimate, clearing the main campaign in the game may take 40 to 60 hours for all six Acts.

Remember that even though Path of Exile 2 in early access will only feature three Acts before you can access the end game, you must go through the entire three Acts on Cruel Difficulty again.

So, for players looking to try the end-game in PoE 2’s early access, it will take them 35 to 45 hours to reach the end-game.
