If you are also stuck in the Secret Device of the Belfry quest while doing the new Wilds of Talandre main story quest in Throne and Liberty, I am here to help!
As you may know, Wilds of Talandre free DLC in Throne and Liberty not only added a massive new region to the game.
But it also expanded the game’s main story by adding four new chapters.
These are:
- Chapter 11: Wizard’s Traces
- Chapter 12: The World Tree
- Chapter 13: Wounded Reunion
- Chapter 14: Sunset of Repentance
While each of the main quests has some objectives that are a little hard to complete, many players get stuck in Chapter 14.
Particularly in the Secret Device of the Belfry sub-quest.
While I am still in Chapter 11 at the time of writing this guide. I have gathered all the information and shared it in this guide, explaining how to complete the Secret Device of the Belfry sub quest in Throne and Liberty.
How to solve the animal statue puzzle
When you enter the Crimson Manor Belfry during Chapter 14, you will get the objective to “Look at the Constellation from the storage to move the direction of each animal statue.”
Head to the storage room, and you will find a bluish constellation painting on the wall.
You can interact with it to get more hints on how to solve the animal puzzle.
All you have to do in this section is turn the statues of the animals in the main hall to the direction shown in the painting.
- Turn the Dragon Statue’s face towards front.
- Turn the Wolf Statue’s face towards the right.
When you move the statues in the direction I have marked in the above screenshot, you will solve the puzzle.
After that, you will get the objective to obtain the Flower Shaped Decoration from the storage room.

Obtain Flower Shaped Decoration from the Storage’s Secret Vault
After you solve the animal statue puzzle, head back to the Storage Room, and you will find a Chest saying, “Vault.”
Interact with it to collect Flower Shaped Decoration and progress the quest.
Investigate the empty Rose Picture
After you have obtained the Flower Shaped Decoration, you must investigate the empty Rose Painting.
Follow the path I have marked, and you will reach a big painting saying “Decorative Frame.”
Interact with it to progress the quest.
Solve the Empty Rose Petal Puzzle
When you interact with the painting, you will get a Rose Decoration puzzle.
To solve it, interact with the first leaf.
And then, the last leaf.
Doing so will uncover a Rose.
Interact with it to solve the puzzle and complete the objective.
Place the completed rose decoration on the picture
Right after solving the Rose Decoration puzzle, you are tasked to place the completed rose decoration on the picture.
Just interact with the same painting, and you will be able to progress the quest.
As soon as you place the completed rose decoration, Iska will come. Talk to progress the quest.
Lastly, as I mentioned at the beginning, at the time of writing, I was still in Chapter 11.
