Slasher Masked Truth is the first quest in The Slasher seasonal event in FO76, and players must complete it to progress through the first phase of this quarter-long event.
The quest also rewards players with the new Slasher outfit plans and sets up Slasher’s arrival in Appalachia.

The Slasher Masked Truth quest walkthrough
When you start the game, The Slasher: Masked Truth quest auto-triggers and is added to your active quests.
The first objective is to listen to the “Breaking News” radio broadcast.
Navigate to the Radio tab and listen to the ‘Breaking News’ broadcast.
Once it is complete, you get two objectives:
An optional one: Tune in to the Debunker Radio Station.
The main one is Find Pint-Sized Slasher Masks in cabins, campgrounds, and fairgrounds (0/10).
Open the Radio menu again and listen to The Debunker Radio broadcast to complete the optional objective.
Now comes the main part of The Slasher: Masked Truth quest. You must find 10 Pint-Sized Slasher Masks around Appalachia.
And as you find them, you will get four Article Clippings and one final note leading to the Slasher’s message, completing the quest.

You get your first Article Clipping when you collect the first Pint-Sized Slasher Mask.

A page torn from a children’s book
You get this after finding all 10 Pint-Sized Slasher Masks.
The “A page torn from a children’s book” note hints at the final location.
Hint 1: By the dog kennel, he smells your fear. Sunlight is dim, and night comes near. By the dog kennel, you see his knife. Run, run, run for your life!
Hint 2: Amid the ruins of suburbia by Road 85. Look for him.
Investigate the area described in the note
The area described by the hint is in Charleston.
Teleport to the Charleston Fire Department and make your way to the search area.
Once you arrive, head to the Dog Kennel at the marked location above.
Search the dog kennel
Search the meat pile found inside the dog kennel.
Read the “We’re Coming For You” note.
And that is it. Doing so will complete the quest.
The Slasher: Masked Truth quest rewards
There are two rewards that you get from this quest:
