For players who don’t know, the V63 Laser Carbine is one of the newest Energy Weapon additions to Fallout 76’s weapon roster that players can craft using the Plans: V63 Laser Carbine that they obtain by completing a certain quest given by Theodore, one of the new NPCs added with the Milepost Zero update.

While to some players, the weapon might seem underwhelming as it offers an inferior stat to something like The Fixer, I like using the V63 Laser Carbine very much and also highly appreciate Bethesda adding new weapons to the game because I am tired of using my Handmade, Fixer, Railway Rifle and others.

With that said, here is my best build for the V63 Laser Carbine in Fallout 76.

The best V63 Laser Carbine build in Fallout 76

The V63 Laser Carbine best build focuses on improving the general Weapon DMG while concentrating more on Energy DMG boost. This build doesn’t utilize V.A.T.S. or CRIT Hits and instead focuses on building the Heat Meter to improve the weapon’s DMG.

V.A.T.S. is good, but I am tired of it. The accuracy and range of the V63 Laser Carbine offers make it more fun to use in free aim or ADS.

Best Perks for V63 Laser Carbine

Here are the Perks that I recommend using with the V63 Laser Carbine to increase its damage and other capabilities significantly:

Best Mutation for V63 Laser Carbine

The best Mutation for the V63 Laser Carbine build in Fallout 76 is Scaly Skin, which increases Energy DMG and Resistance by +50.

Apart from that, since this build is based on the Bloodied Build, I also recommend getting the Adrenal Reaction Mutation, as it increases Weapon DMG at low HP.

Lastly, while you can also get other Mutations, for this build particularly, I recommend avoiding the Grounded Mutation. While it gives you +100 Energy Resistance, it reduces your Energy DMG by -50%.

Best weapon mods for V63 Laser Carbine

There are only two categories of Weapon Mods that you can use on the V63 Laser Carbine. These are the Capacitor and the Stock with a Legendary Roll slot.

Since this build doesn’t focus on V.A.T.S., for the Capacitor Mod Slot, I recommend using the Cyclic Capacitor, which increases the weapon’s Fire Rate from 73->95.

The faster you shoot, the quicker you build up heat-> the more damage you deal with the weapon.

Now, when it comes to the Stock Mod Slot, go for the Forcefull Stock, as it dramatically increases the Stability and Sighted Accuracy of the weapon while increasing its Condition Decay bar.

Best Legendary roll for V63 Laser Carbine

While I am running low on Legendary Modules, I am trying to get the following Legendary roll on the V63 Laser Carbine:

• Bloodied or Quad
• Hitman
• Agility or Swift

I will update more on this later.

Update on September 22, 2024: I did a Legendary Roll and got Bloodied, Last Shot, and Lucky.

I will swap the Last Shot with Hitman and Lucky with Agility. That said, here’s a showcase of the weapon with Legendary Effects.

Best consumable item to increase V63 Laser Carbine’s damage

The good old beer, High Voltage Hefe, is the best consumable for boosting the V63 Laser Carbine’s DMG by a whopping 15%.
