Once you arrive at the Lu Mansion via the path through the Doomwillow Beach, you will find the Lotus Pond in the middle of the Mansion.
While there’s an area to drop, since the pond is filled with water, if you jump into it without removing the water, you die.

How to unflood the pond in Lu Mansion in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
In Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you can remove water from the pond and fight the area’s boss, Commander Honglan, by placing a Buddha Statue on a Shrine found near the Palace Hill Shrine.
Once you do that, a cutscene plays out where you see the water wheel working again, removing the water in the pond.

As I mentioned earlier, you can find the Buddha Statue near the Palace Hill Shrine.
You can fast travel to it.

From the area where you fight the optional boss, head straight and take a left.
The right arrow in the above screenshot shows the open fence from where you can jump into the pond once you remove the water.
You will find a ladder leading to the roof. Take it.
Follow the path on your right.
You will eventually arrive at the Shrine.
While facing the Shrine, take a left and follow the path.
On your way, you can also take out the mini bamboo creature to get a Bamboo Shoot that you can trade with the Panda Merchant.
Take the first right.
Four enemies will be waiting for you. Two on the right and two from behind. Take them out.
After that, go through the house on the right, and you will reach a dead end with a dead woman.
Next to her, you will find the Buddha Statue.
Now head back to the Shrine.
On your way, take the path on the left side to get another useful item near a dead man’s body.
It’s an Aurum Feather Force.
